Mark Olsen writes about movies from Los Angeles. He currently produces the weekly feature "Indie Focus" for the Los Angeles Times and is a contributing editor to Film Comment magazine. Having grown up in Kansas, he is a graduate of the University of Kansas and New York University. His work has also appeared in The New York Times, LA Weekly, Sight & Sound and Interview.
