Leonard Klady

According to lore Leonard Klady sprang from a box of popcorn one blistery winter night in his native Canada. A founding member and first president of the film co-operative the Winnipeg Film Group, he wrote extensively about the burgeoning Canadian film industry and was host of a national arts television series prior to relocating to the United States in 1985. He also produced and wrote several award winning shorts and radio and television programs.

He has been a staff writer/critic/columnists for such publications as the Los Angeles Times, Variety, American Film and Entertainment Weekly and his work has appeared in major newspapers and publications in America and internationally. Mr. Klady is a co-founder and contributor at moviecitynews.com, senior contributing editor of Screen International and a critic and columnist for Below the Line.

Presently he is completing the book 10 Things That Give Hollywood a Headache to be published in 2008.
