Kirk Honeycutt
Kirk Honeycutt is a longtime film critic, journalist, teacher and author who most recently wrote the biography "John Hughes: A Life in Film" (Race Point Publishing, 2015). He was a senior reporter and then chief film critic for The Hollywood Reporter for 20 years ending in 2012. In the latter role he oversaw a worldwide staff of critics and directed coverage of film festivals in Sundance, Cannes, Berlin, Busan, Hong Kong and Toronto. Before that, he was chief film critic and feature writer for the Daily News of Los Angeles for over seven years. He has served on numerous international film festival juries.

Since leaving The Reporter, he established his film reviews web site, Honeycutt's Hollywood As an adjunct professor at Chapman University's Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, he has taught a variety of courses including film history, criticism and screenplay analysis. He hosted UCLA Extension's Sneak Preview film series from 2005 to 2015. Kirk has appeared as a commentator or guest on many network and local TV shows including the O'Reilly Factor, CNN, CBS This Morning in New York, MSNBC, NBC, STARZ, Access Hollywood and the BBC along with numerous radio appearances.
