There, she covers Hollywood, filing reviews while reporting on the intersection of the American entertainment industry with business, politics, and technology. She'd been an editorial fellow for The Atlantic from 2014 to 2015; before returning to the publication in 2019 to help establish its presence in Los Angeles, she worked as a staff writer at Entertainment Weekly. A Shanghai native raised in New Jersey who graduated from Northwestern University, she's also been published in Wired and Sports Illustrated—outlets she worked for before realizing just how much she loved writing about movies.
